In fact, only FTP access is required to store photo to Synology or Buffalo....

ftp access is not on the eye-fi card
but syno and buffalo can host small server, for example and eye-fi server ;-)

Source? You're mistaken. No Eye-Fi card supports FTP transfer of any kind currently, not even the Pro card.

I would vote for a dedicated Synology module. I currently have my download location set to my photo shared directory on the Diskstation and it seems to work OK at the moment, as well as with other UPNP devices.

Same here--photos go from camera through laptop into the photo directory. It would be nice to cut out the middle man, since my laptop and camera usually aren't on at the same time. The Synology's always on.

Does this worked for anyone? I mean an upload to a buffalo NAS.

If yes, where does it store the photos?

Thanks

The latest cards and firmware DO support FTP, but it's still relayed through the Eye-Fi servers so your going to need to open a hole in your home network (port-forwarding).

I currently copy Eye-Fi shots to a directly connected Drobo. You can do this with a NAS much the same way. Just create a Folder on the NAS and them map the folder to a Drive in Windows or MAC. Just let Eye-Fi helper copy the photos to the mapped drive.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me out. As you are all interested in Synology and/or other NAS products, I was wondering , other then this forum, what FINNISH websites and magazines do you read for IT information/reviews/news etc.

Thanks.

I have no problem with the relay via Eye Fi's servers, but does this really work? Can you specify a certain folder and does eye fi upload the images right away?

Hello, would really love a eye-fi module for my Synology server...

Preferred would be a direct link, so I don't need the eye-fi servers, as I'm also on ADSL and the upload speed is relatively poor (+-60KB/s)

Any chance this will ever land ???

I would also like to see an eye-fi module on the Synology NAS products.
