Eye-Fi Cards affected by a parts defect

Postby LarryG on Thu Jan 15, 2009 6:30 pm

With the help of our forum community and user base, Eye-Fi has determined that a small number of Eye-Fi cards are affected by a parts defect that could result in the loss of photos stored on the card. We are proactively reaching out to our customers because we want to ensure that they receive the optimal Eye-Fi experience. In order to prevent any risk to customers with these cards, we have taken steps to replace these cards as proactively as possible.

We understand that this is an inconvenience, so we have developed a quick and simple process to let these users get a new Eye-Fi card. When an Eye-Fi user with one of these cards logs into the Eye-Fi Manager, they will be notified that they have a suspect card. Even if your card is working perfectly well, if you receive this notification, we implore you to begin the process as soon as possible.

Question: How do I know if my card is one of these suspect cards?
Answer: Users with suspect cards will be directed to a specific page in the Eye-Fi Manager describing the issue and our replacement plan. Unless you see this page you do not have to be concerned that your card is affected.
