New card not recognized

I just bought a new Eye-Fi card Pro X2 8 gb from Amazon.it in Italy.
I followed the set up instructions and after the first intertion of the USB card reader found in the package in an USB port, the PC crashed with a Blue Screen of Death (Lenovo W520 Win 7 Pro 64 bit).
I restarted the PC and restarted the set up procedure.
This time the card was recognized but no volume letter was assigned.
I uninstalled the device from Win 'Device Manager', reinserted the USB card reader and finally the PC found the volume, assigned a letter, launched the set up and installed Eye-Fi Helper.
It automatically showed me the window to input the data to create the new account, but after clicking on the button 'Create account' an error message pop up saying:

IMPOSSIBLE TO CONFIRM THE CARD
Reinsert the Eye-Fi card and restart the activation procedure

This is the translation from italian interface, so the message could be slightly different.
In italian it is:
IMPOSSIBILE CONFERMARE LA SCHEDA
Reinserire la Scheda Eye-Fi e riavviare la procedura di attivazione.

I tried many times, but the system never recognize the card.
I tried different USB ports and a different card reader that works for sure, but I wasn't able to proceed and create the account.
The menu of Eye-Fi Helper reports the MAC address of the card saying it is unregistered.
I already checked your support website and found this page: http://support.eye.fi/cards/problem/can ... w-account/
but it wasn't helpful.
I followed also the instructions found at http://support.eye.fi/software/problem/ ... recognize/
but also relaunching Eye-Fi Center with the card already inserted was useless.
I tried the set up on two different computers and the card was detected and the set up procedure started correctly, but the
'IMPOSSIBLE TO CONFIRM THE CARD' message compared on both computers.

I checked the forum, but I didn't find any thread about this problem.
I sent this message to support@eye.fi yesterday, but I haven't yet received an answer, beside the automatic reply with ticket assignment.
I hope I could get some help here.

same problem, more or less.
Card is recognised by camera and pictures display.
When attached to PC via reader or cable Win7 prompts to format card
Helper can't see it either.
