Renewing Explore card

Does you have to renew the explore card services every year or just the wayport hotspot feature

As an add-on, geotagging is an annual subscription:

The Eye-Fi Explore is supposed to include "unlimited geotagging" but it's not clear to me if that means unlimited forever, or just unlimited for the duration of the subscription. I also don't know if the SmugMug geotagging freebie is an annual renewal, but I suspect it is.

For the Explore Card, only the hotspot service is setup as a subscription.
