Amateurish Question

Hi-

I'd like to pose a hypothetical situation to those of you who have this card, because I want to use it for a specific purpose and I don't know if it'll work.

If I, for example, were to set this card up with a desktop computer at home, and decided to backpack across Europe with my camera and this card, taking pictures all the while... could I send photos back home to my computer whenever I encountered wifi? Or, at the least, upload them to Picasa?

yes using relayed transfer it will do what you require, the only thing you need to consider is the reliability and speed of the hot spot you will be using. picasa will work using the online sharing feature , it is possible to use eyefi view ( http://support.eye.fi/features/view/intro-view/ ) to hold your photos but unless you opt for the premium version they will only be held for 7 days after they arrive at your pc which needs to be on ofc to receive your photos via the internet while away on vaction
