Won't transfer images via home wifi

Postby Spikeydevilbandit » Sun Jul 01, 2012 2:29 pm

OK. So I've got my direct mode working ok (I think). I'm now trying to get it to work via my home network. I've added my home network in the "private networks" tab and added it to my card. However images are not being transferred to my iPad. Have I missed something or am I doing something wrong? Cheers. Steve

try posting a card log here and we will try and see whats happening.

1. Insert your Eye-Fi card into your camera
2. Take 5 pictures
3. Wait 5 minutes to give the photos a chance to upload
4. Remove the card from your camera *
5. Insert the Eye-Fi card into the USB card reader and into your computer
6. Click on the Eye-Fi Helper icon in the Apple Menu Bar or in the Windows Task Bar
7. Select "Get Eye-Fi card Log..." from the menu. You may have to wait several seconds, but, in a moment, you will be asked where to save the Eye-Fi card log file
8. Save the Eye-Fi card.log file to your computer hard drive and reply to this forum thread with your log file attached

you are getting "Returning from upload function with error 365 " i believe this can be firewall related or that the software cannot write to the chosen destination check your destination settings again

Thanks again ...

All I'm interested in is sending very small jpegs to my iPad for viewing. I'll never want to sent images to my desktop.
Aren't the images just sent to the eye fi app on the iPad?

As for the firewall are you talking about the one on the Mac or the router? I can't see the one on the Mac being an issue as I'm not trying to send them to it.

did you follow the instructions here when setting up the ipad to receive photos

As ahinchcliffe mentioned, it looks like the Eye-Fi card is searching your network for the Eye-Fi app running on your iPad, but is not finding it. Please make sure the iPad is connected to the same "SKY03911" wi-fi network and the Eye-Fi app is open.

Also, make sure the iPad is set to receive your files: http://support.eye.fi/mobile/ios/how/sa ... os-device/

If this doesn't help, please exit all apps on your iPad: from the home screen, double-click the home button, tap and hold an app icon at the bottom of the screen, and exit each app with the minus button. Then, fully power cycle the iPad (press/hold both buttons until it restarts), re-open the Eye-Fi app, and try again.

If nothing has uploaded to the iPad at that point, please contact us directly and we can help address all the issues you've mentioned in the forums.

Thanks!
