I have three Eye-Fi cards and I have not been able to use them with my computer for a month because the Eye-Fi Center will not stay open. I had the previous Eye-Fi Manager, which would always crash just seconds after it started. Today, I received an e-mail about the new Eye-Fi Center software, so I quickly downloaded and installed the new version hoping the problem would be fixed. However, after installing it, the new Eye-Fi Helper also crashes a few seconds after it starts. When I try to start Eye-Fi Center, it also crashes with "Ahem... Psst... We've encountered a problem. Please restart Eye-Fi Helper. Please contact Eye-Fi support with any questions."
I tried starting the Eye-Fi Center again, and this time, it says the same thing (with slightly-different wording) "Little hiccup. Hmmm... We've encountered a problem. Please restart Eye-Fi Helper. Please contact Eye-Fi support with any questions." So I do what it says -- I start the Eye-Fi Helper. It stays open long enough for me to quickly check the version number: 126.96.36.199. Right after that, Eye-Fi Helper crashes and the Eye-Fi Crash Reporter appears: "Eye-Fi Helper had a problem and crashed."
My computer: Dell, Intel Core2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Windows XP Professional w/SP3
UPDATE 4/8/2010: I got it working... sort of. See post below.
