Eye fi and Nikon D800 issues

Any idea when the issues with Nikon D800 and the Eye fi cards will be sorted, such a great idea, but very frustrating not being able to use, most of the time won't connect in direct mode with ipad, works fine with a PC. Surely its a firmware issue, are you able to elaborate on the issue.
