Buggy mess

Postby worg on Sun May 01, 2011 12:33 am

Win Xp - Program keeps changing my settings back to defaults such as folder to save dl pics in - it keeps defaulting back to C:\Documents and Settings\Wendy\My Documents\My Pictures\eye-fi - well guess what - there is no "eye-fi" folder in that path on my computer at all! I am an experienced computer person from day one of PC's so I do know what I'm doing finding folders. Even so, I save my changes after I specify a new folder and once I leave and come back it has changed back to the default. Then I ask it to send to iphone using app to receive, change it so that both eye-fi center and app know we are talking iphone now and not computer for receiving and it varies between uploading to computer anyway and a couple of times it has tried to ul to iphone, but it tries over and over with the same pics then just says error. Then it just says idle even when I have just taken a pic with eyefi card. I have all my modes set up right and networks. My camera is set to upload eyefi. My iphone has eyefi ON in settings/location services. I looked at error log and last error was error 22 . Both computer program and app are junk. Can't wait to send the card back and get rid of the whole mess. How about NOT RELEASING PROGRAMS AND APPS TILL THEY WORK AS CLAIMED???

I was getting a similar issue. I was using a PC to initially setup, then used the android app. I think it might be a bug with the mobile app, because my issue appeared (I think) when I switched off the "Eye-Fi Card" option under "Eye-Fi Card Settings," then later tried re enabling. The re-enable I think went back to default destination. Once I got everything set the way I liked, it seems to not be an issue any more, but it was a minor annoyance in the beginning. For what is worth, I now have it set to camera card -> droid then droid -> PC at home (which it gets through eye-fi web servers?)
