GoPro with EyeFi -> Android Device -> USB Flash Drive

Postby Cinerar » Wed Apr 04, 2012 5:38 am

Hi there, i have an interesting task, i need to transfer videos from my GoPro camera to USB Flash Drive.
I imagine this solution - GoPro with EyeFi card in it -> Android tablet with USB Flash Drive support -> USB Flash Drive
I'm absolutelly new with Android, so could someone answer this questions:
1. Does Eye-Fi center for Android allows to choose destination where transferred files will be saved?
2. If Eye-Fi center for Android do not allow this are there any possibility to make it do so using additional Android software?
3. Are there anything more cheap than this Ainol NOVO7 Paladin (which i think should allow me doing this) or are there any alternatives to do this with another devices?
Time of transfer is critical for me (as long as video are quite big), i would like to transfer video dirrectly to USB Flash Drive, not to the device internal memory and then to USB Flash Drive.

Thank you for your time and hope i can find some answers here.

P.S. Laptop is not an answer, GoPro and "Android?" device will fly with me on Paraglider )

With our new update you can select the sdcard to which the files are saved. Currently, received files are spooled on the manufacturer designated default external media then transferred to the final destination. It is actually better to try to do smaller clips rather than one long continuous video stream if possible. The Eye-Fi card does have limits on file sizes. X2 can save 4GB file length but will only transfer files of 2GB or less.
