Resize bevor upload.

Postby VivianMeally on Thu Jan 10, 2013 5:00 am

Hello, it is possible to resize the photos before it uploaded (flickr/facebook etc) on the phone?
My sony rx100 makes 20mp pictures, and there are 6MB in size.
So i need over 5 min to publish only one Picture.

(sorry, i translatet it with google translate)

hello VivianMeally,

Sorry but Eye-Fi does not offer an option to automatically shrink the photos before the Eye-Fi mobile app uploads them from the phone. Maybe you could shoot smaller photos in the camera, or find an app for your phone that can resize images for you before you try to upload them manually.

In the Eye-Fi Center program and web site, we do have an option in the online destination settings to shrink the photos before they arrive on Flickr/Facebook, etc., but the full-size photo would upload from your phone before it is resized on our servers.

Can you implement that in the next EyeFi App. for Android update?

I Dont think that really complicated.

Yes i can shoot Smaller size in my Camera. But the smallets is ~ 2,4Mb. But on Flickr arrives only ~ 500kb. (so it wasted 2mb for every Photo i post, this is very sad)
I will be really happy. If you can implement that in the app.
