I w'd recommend Flickr as its simple in use and has added multiple geo tagging features.

I have used picasa and dint really like it.

I currently use flickr. It shows your pictures geotag info and you can also show a map with all of your pictures locations. You also have the option to show or hide the locations to No one/everyone on flicker or just freinds/family.

Question for huskyte: have you had any experience with Lightroom 4 and geotagging? I'm trying to find out if it actually can read Eye-Fi's WPS geotags. Thanks.

Sorry, no lightroom experience so far. But isn't there a free trial?

I use GeoSetter on the PC to check geotagging and make amendments. Not found anything as simple to use including bulk editing.

I use Flickr as my online service. Although I am looking at Everpix which is in beta, it's early days on the geotagging front but the whole service shows significant promise. I hope Eye-fi will support uploading to it directly but it does a great job of importing automatically from Flickr anyhow.

I have also looked at Locr. This looks to me to have the best Geotagging representation for photos but it is more expensive than Flickr. It has a client that allows geotagging data manipulation including directional information (if captured, which the Eye-fi card doesn't current do).

Cheers,
Paul

Hi there,

Also there is a great website out here called Geoslideshow (geoslideshow . com) which can geotag your online photos and create 'map shows' to share with your friends and family.

Give it a shot, It's free and a lot of fun :)

Cheers,

What about a program that you can install and browse the pictures in your hard drive on a map?

All these suggestion are websites online or super expensive programs! That means you have to upload your photos in order to see them on a map or pay loads of money for a pro app only for browsing them.

Hi Mario:

For the PC I use GeoSetter software. It's freeware and does a great job of displaying and editing all EXIF data including geotagging. Plus, it interfaces with Google maps to map photos. Rather than reinventing the wheel GeoSetter uses ExifTool - a standalone library - to parse Exif data, so allow Exiftool to update itself when it asks. The main page is at geosetter.de/en/ .
