Just wanted to update my situation (described above). As I noted above, I was sent a replacement card. This card worked flawlessly for the past month until yesterday, when I began experiencing the exact same symptoms as before ("Card Error" and "Write Protect" messages on the camera and the inability to either view of take pictures).
I had recently downloaded all of the images off the card and (after making sure I had them backed up), I cleared the contents of the Eye Fi card by formatting it in my camera (a practice that has been recommended to me by Olympus). As I think back, this may have been the first time I cleared the card in this manner since receiving the replacement. It was 2-3 shots after I did this that the errors recurred, so I'm thinking it's probable that there is some connection. I've e-mailed EyeFi support about this issue.
Do you generally format your card in your camera?
