ftp and folder management... turning off folder sorting?

Hi,

is there a way to upload to an ftp server subdirectory without automatically organising into date album directories like when uploading to a desktop computer? even when selecting the "-------" option for album names in the online settings, it still automatically uploads files into newly created sub-sub directories.
