New facebook album for each photo

When I configure photo sharing to upload to my Facebook account, it creates a new Facebook photo album for every single picture. I want to put everything into one album. Is this possible?

I'm seeing this same issue, they upload to different albums with the same name. Super Irritating

Hi, a few of us have tried this and are unable to replicate the issue. By any chance, were the photos taken (not uploaded) on different dates? By default, albums are created based on the date the photo is taken.

If you want, you can also further customize the way the Facebook albums are created - for example, by year and month (instead of year, month, date) or even with your own custom album names.

i have the exact same issue and tried using a custom Album name and a default eye-fi album name. Neither works. The system creates a new album each time the photo is uploaded... no matter the album name. Please resolve this!

folks, we have been able to observe this now and are working with facebook to figure out what causes it. more when we have it.

I'm glad I found this thread. I just got my Eye-Fi card and I was afraid I was going to be told it was supposed to create a new album for every picture.

I was hoping I wasn't alone with this issue. I will give a little bit of info about my specific issues and perhaps it might help with the troubleshooting.

1) I am NOT using the Eye-Fi manager when I upload my photos when this issue happens. I am using the "lock" photo feature on my camera so that when I turn on my camera, they automatically upload to Facebook without me having to upload them through Eye-Fi manager.

2) The photos have ALL been taken the same day. ie. 4 photos, all taken the same day, all uploaded the same day. 4 separate albums each with one photo all with the exactly the same date.

I'm having the same issue and there's an extra bit of strange activity that might point towards the problem. When I first access one of these albums, it says photo 1 of 2, but attempting to move forward to the second fails at which point it now thinks its a single photo. This happens for every album, the first time I access them. Future access see it as only one photo in each.

I hope this helps the developers locate the problem.

Even among Eye-Fi employees, it seems to work correctly for some and creates 1 album per photo for others. We are working with Facebook to understand where and why this started so that we can fix it.

Being one of the people that is experiencing the "1 album per photo" issue, I will let you know when it is resolved!

Hugely annoying. Does it this way whether it is uploading from the camera or from eye-fi centre. Bummer because I was just telling someone how eye-fi was a huge pain to set up but so worth it, and how the eye-fi centre is probably the simplest way for me to send photos to an album on fbook! Hope it is fixed soon.

it all started for me as soon as i updated firmware on my eye-fi explore x2 8gb...i used to have nice galleries of 200 photos now i have 8 million galleries of 1 photo !!!

I just bought an Explorer X2 for the main reason of direct upload to Facebook. I see that the Eye-Fi'ers were aware of and working this issue since July 31st. Does anybody have a status or estimate of when this issue may be resolved?

It does not have anything to do with the firmware on the card - that may just be a coincidence. We are continuing to work with Facebook engineers on what changed and why it only affects certain accounts so that we can fix it. We don't have an ETA on this yet though.

I also encountered this issue today. I had set up my facebook account so that I could approve/reject individual photos from Eye-fi (this had been working ever since I bought my card 2 years ago), but I noticed that I could only approve/reject the entire album today (all my photos still uploaded to to a single album at this time). I thought something was wrong with the facebook app, so I deleted and re-added the facebook integration on my Eye-fi card and noticed that each photo was uploading to a seperate album (1 photo per album). I also noticed that this issue occured after I had upgraded my firmware recently.

I wanted to add some details to this.
I'm using the selective-sharing option. (i.e., lock image to share)
I'm using the Year-Month template ("%Y-%m")
I have an X2 Pro (8gb) with a Nikon/D300s. (Don't imagine it matters, but just in case).

We have implemented a fix for this. Please do the following:

1. Log in to Eye-Fi Center
2. From the Settings tab, delete your Facebook profile in the Online Sharing sub-tab
3. Now add Facebook as an Online Sharing site (you don't have to delete the Eye-Fi application on Facebook.com)

Your photos should now go into one album again.

Please let us know if that works.
