Cannot log in Android app

Postby chinmoku_tak » Sun Apr 17, 2011 10:18 am

I just downloaded the eye-fi android app. For some reason, I cannot log-in to the service.
Anybody else having the issue? is there any workaround?

I hadno trouble logging in to the android app. Make sure your password is typed case sensitive. Also if you are having trouble try rebooting your phone or using a task killer to kill the app and start again.

I don't think my password is wrong, because if I type a wrong address I get an error saying "couldn't not authenticate". If I type right password, I get no error message, I just get a log-in screen. Tried restarting, but no luck...

what phone/android version? I'm grasping at straws here as it worked fine for me, but did have one instance where it would not log in. Killing the app with task killer and trying again fixed it. Also make sure you have a good connection to the internet as well (aka make sure you are not connected to the eye-fi network when you try and log in).

Works fine for me, although I had to kill the app twice and restart the camera once before the pictures started to transfer to my phone.

I can't login either. At the login screen i type in my credentials and hit login. It authenticates but drops be back into the login screen. If I put in a wrong password it tells me. I've tried changing my password. I'm on an EVO 4g.

I was finally able to log-in, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working right. I take pictures, it doesn't get loaded on my android phone. when it does, it doesn't transfer pictures from my android to computer...
very frustrating...

richp,

There's a bug in the current implementation of the Android app whereby if you enter an incorrect password and hit the back button a few times after a successful login, you can get into a state where we wont let you log in. We've fixed this (hopefully - still needs some testing) in a patched version of the Android app which we're hoping to release to the market very soon.

If you want to get around this issue immediately, all you need to do is uninstall the app and re-install it.

Sorry for this inconvenience - I know this 'solution' is less than optimal, but it should get you back up and running.

I've killed, uninstalled, reinstalled, changed passwords, and stood on my head with a feather in my mouth...simply can not get logged in. If I enter the wrong password it tells me that, but when I enter the correct one it just looks at me like I'm stupid, just like my kids :D

Oh yeah, Droid X

Randy Sartin,

See my post at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3766#p15961. Would you mind letting us know what carrier you are using please. Also - have you tried logging into the application while on WIFI?
