Can't Log In

Postby clb2196 » Tue Apr 19, 2011 6:24 am

I just downloaded the app on my Droid 2. When I open it, I enter my login credentials. It thinks for a minute, but never does anything else. I know my username/password is correct, and if I enter an incorrect one, it does tell me that. Any idea what's wrong?

clb2196,

Do you get any type of error message after the login fails?

clb2196,

Looks like we found an issue with out login screen. We're hoping to release an patched version of the Android application very soon which should solve this issue. If you want to get back into the application before this patched version is released all you need to do is go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Select Eye-Fi and press Force Stop.

Sorry about this issue.

Anyone found a way around this yet? Still can not log in, even after starting and restarting...

As a work around, try enabling Wifi, make sure it connects, then try logging in again. If you end up staying on the login screen after a login attempt then do the force stop outlined by sean in a previous post and start the app again. We should have a fix for this problem soon.

Randy Sartin,

Would you mind letting us know what carrier you are using too please. We've had some reports of people having difficultly logging into the application using AT&T, but we haven't been able to get a reproducible set of steps during testing yet.

Sean,

I'm on Verizon. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but this one JUST ABOUT kicked my butt. Going to wi-fi allowed me to log in, but I still had issues with never seeing the option to disconnect from the internet and connect to the card. I finally unregistered the card, removed the app from the Droid, and reinstalled everything one last time this morning (probably did this 7 or 8 times in total)...and everything is working perfect. I have gone as far as to log out of the server, remove the battery from my phone, and when everything is booted back up everything works perfect, even when I was surrounded by about 4 wireless networks at one point today. I'm tickled to death, just not sure what (if anything) I did to fix it, or what the real problem was.

Randy, we apologize for the hoops you had to go through to get this to work.

We are still trying to get to the bottom of this particular bug which we haven't been able to reproduce here despite trying many different Android phones on different networks while on 3G/4G. For some (inexplicable) reason, logging in while on Wi-Fi seems to work.

We will update the app once we find and fix this.

You know, that may be what magically changed...after my last reinstall I think I do not have to be on WiFi to log in (used the 3G network). I'm beat, but I'll double check in the morning and will let you know.

Did a complete fresh restart on everything this morning while my router was unplugged, signed in through 3G, everything works great. Sure wish I knew what actually happened :)
