The Eye-Fi however does not activate the internal spring and almost has to be wedged in place. The card works but is not acting like a normal Sd card when inserting it.

Same here and I get an occasional card error

I wanted to let you know that I have returned my card for a refund because it caused card errors and would not 'spring' out of the card slot.
I tried 4 cards and none of them worked properly in my Nikon D7000. (Yet other brands worked flawlessly).
This was the 2nd disappointment that I had with the card: the other was that your software let me install an update on my ppc mac that was incompatible.
I am very disappointed that this did not work out for me.
I hope that there will be something that can be done so that I can use your technology in my brand new d7000.
netZ wrote:Same issue, D7000 + Eye-Fi Pro X2 = stuck sd card. If you compare the width of a regular SD card (ie. Sandisk, Kingston etc), the Eye-Fi is slightly wider. You can tell by placing the cards on it's edge on a flat table.
To rectify it, I took an emery board and filed down the sides a little to smooth out the sides. This allowed the Eye-Fi card to easily insert and remove from the camera without being stuck.
Thanks!

Could it be the reason for the card error?
