I have just installed Eye-Fi and was testing it out and It works fine, however on file is just always importing. The file is not on the computer or camera. I click "remove from Eye-Fi" but it just comes back.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it still does it.
Does this file appear in Eye-Fi Center with an 'in progress' identifier? For example, do you see a barbershop overlay on the thumbnail when you look at the file in Eye-Fi Center?
If you wouldn't mind, could you please try the following steps for me please:
1. Stop Eye-Fi Center. 2. Copy the overrides.json file attached to this message into one of the following directories (based on your operating system): Mac: /Users/your_name_here/Library/Preferences/fi.eye.center.*/Local Store/ Windows: C:\Users\username_here\AppData?\Roaming\fi.eye.center.*\Local Store Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username_here\Application Data\fi.eye.center.*\Local Store I've named the overrides.json file overrides.txt because our forums software wont allow .json files to be uploaded. Make sure that the file is called overrides.json when you copy it into one of the directories listed above though. 3. Restart Eye-Fi Center and navigate to the thumbnail which won't disappear for you. 4. Try to delete it again. 5. Wait 30 seconds and stop Eye-Fi Center. 6. PM me the Eye-Fi Center.log file which should be in the same directory where you dropped the overrides.json file.
I'm PM'ing you some further details too about the Eye-Fi Center.log file.
I have exactly the same problem on my Eye-Fi Center on Mac OS X. One of my pictures keeps getting downloaded with no thumbnail preview. It then does not appear on the Eye-Fi center (well, it does, but still without any thumbnail). When I delete it it keeps coming back.
The weirdest part is when I download it from the website, the file just works flawlessly (its a JPG).
My pictures go from my card to an Android device and then to my Mac.
Do I have to follow the same procedure (E.g. copy the json file and then send it to you ?) or you have a straight solution for this specific problem ?
As you've found out, there's an unfortunate bug in Eye-Fi software which had an adverse impact on deleting files which are deemed 'in progress' to the computer. We're aware of this bug and are tracking it internally. I can't comment on when this bug fix will be made available via software update.
There's a very drastic solution to this problem. PM me for details if you want.
The bug has been anoying me for the past 2 weeks, and actually 5 minutes after posting on this topic it has stopped. I don't really know why, I haven't lost any file, it just stopped. I will PM you if it happens again Thanks though !
I have this problem too...Please help to solve...My problem is the it was loaded halfway and I delete the files from both eyefi and my macbook, and it hangs there...also, I want to delete it but it keeps appearing and I cant seem to get it away..please help!
Received card as a birthday present and wondered what progress has been made concerning the title of this tread. On installation it received an update but this problem is still there. Only been doing tests at present and am not getting very far. I can provide more details but seems I have the same issue as many people have. Not Impressed at all so far. An expensive storage card........
