Nice.

No, CF is not exactly a gold mine:

on a more polite note, as a Canon 5D2 user and one of many many professionals who'd love to be able to transfer images toa second backup source, like iphone, ipad, laptop etc, I think you may be missing out on a trick, a small but very significant market.

Your Eye Fi Pro card is an amazing idea, and works in larger Nikons. I bought a your wifi card and a SD/CF2 adaptor after searching various forums and reviews and the camera acknowledges the card but will not format it / read or write to it, so bang goes well over $100. Your FAQ mentions that the card does not work with certain canon cameras, but it does not mention that it does not work with an adaptor - of course it will not work with any camera that does not take SD cards, but that does not mean it would not work with an adaptor. Please add that to any reasons why your Eye-Fi SD card does not work with a camera, then at least it is clear what you mean.

I showed the card to my local pro camera shop and they thought it was a stunning piece of kit, and trust me, there is a market for a CF version. Yup, its smaller, but its also professional, and with the link you shared about 1 PT CF 2 cards, a fast wifi card able to transmit video and 25-40 Mb RAW files would ease the nerves of many a video cameraman and stills photographer, especially where the value of the shot is / could be more than the value of the camera.....

Canon make wifi grip, but people dont like spending $750 on Canon's Wifi grip as it is 1 expensive 2 takes up the space where 2 batteries go.
I'd buy a CF2 Wifi card tomorrow as would the oke who called you lot morons!
I however, would find it a great tool in my work

Just a few thoughts

There's an existing 5-page thread regarding people wanting Eye-Fi to make a CF card. Obviously there's interest shown here for it... so it's up to them to do it if they so desire.

Fair warning, technical support can not assist you with using a CF adapter, so any issues will have to be directed to the forums here.

I would buy a CF version of this card to use in my Canon 7D, but I'm not interested in the hassles involved in using the current card with a CF adapter. Just another voice from the marketplace.

Thanks,

Michael

@OP, there really are better ways to make a request like this. You should learn to be more polite!

I have not seen any replies from Eye-Fi, I just learned about the product at a recent photoshoot. I own a Sony A-900 and I was disappointed to learn of the lack of CF support. Can anyone from Eye-Fi respond to the thread on if CF is on their roadmap?

I challenge anyone to clearly explain and make it actually work...pro x 8gb mega dildo..oh, that was my other hannuka present...all I want to do is stick it in my shitty camera, because it won't work in a real camera, take pictures in the vacinity of my wifi network, have it transfer direct mode to my Ipad and not to my pc, which continuoulsly happens because they actually say that on their website//if you are in the vacinity of a open networks, wlan, ad hoc, de tox,..forget about direct mode but..wait.....but when asking them if it actually can just transfer to Ipad evenif in the vacinity of my wlan they claim it can..I claim it can't. I've asked politely, can't get a simple..step 1, step 2, step 3......Step 4 is taking it back to best buy and getting a few drinks with the 100 bucks I now have back in my pocket. then I won't give a shit since I can walk over to my Ipad, stick one of thos donggles in it and stick the sd card in it and look at the crappy pictures I just took.
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all photographers.

Everytime I read thread about begging for CF cards and called themself a professionals, makes me LOL, :D
come on, being a professional doesn't mean you cry begging for some cheap device, professionals always buy expensive things,

eye-fi is only one of their toys

Also I don't think insulting them by calling them morons is going to get you anywhere.

I agree that calling them morons is not the best way to get any support for the cause, BUT, making a CF version so that top end user can tout how goos it is would make sense. This has been asked for by numerous people but to no avail and some of the replies have been a bit blunt.

The Canon 1DX is coming out with 2 CF card slots, just think of the opportunities.
I have offered to be a beta tester and explained that having an initial slow transfer speed is not so concerning.
