Help! "ghost download" stuck in Eye-Fi Center

Postby TimH » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:45 pm

I was using my Eye-fi for one of the first times and I accidentially deleted a picture on the camera while it was downloading to my PC. Eye-Fi Center now has that Palm-tree icon with the "barber pole" at the bottom all the time for this picture. Its really just an annoyance but is there any way to clear it? I tried uninstalling Eye-Fi Center and then re-installed it from a download from the web (this was weird, the install option disappeared from my Eye-Fi card).

The ghost-download is still there, so I assume some vestige of the previous install lived on in the registry. Any suggestions for getting rid of this icon in Eye-Fi Center? I searched this board and have found others with this problem, though it wasn't clear if they were able to resolve it.

Thanks for any help.

Tim,

If you get on the beta version of the Eye-Fi Desktop software (viewforum.php?f=27) and then right click on the image in question, you should be able to remove it from your Eye-Fi history.

Let me know if that doesnt work for you.

Hi Sean, thanks for the help. I've installed the Beta version. Unfortunately, it opens to a login screen, and when I put my email and password, nothing happens. There is no way to by-pass this. Is this a known issue? Thanks.

Just for reference,
I'm having this issue and have been corresponding with tech support without getting it resolved; in fact, it's been a pretty poor experience in this regard.

I've installed the beta and I have the black and white palm tree icon now but no underlying video is there...only an icon that won't go away.

I really need to get this fixed.

Tim, after you enter your usename and password, please press the "enter" key instead of hitting the "Submit" button. We have a bug about not submitting when you hit the submit button.

IT WORKED!!! Very nice! Actual progress in software development! I am impressed. No more palm tree, no more blue barber pole... Thank you very much.

rpavich,

Just saw the video you posted to support. If you PM me your email address, I can send you details which would give me some more information in Eye-Fi Center's logging to see what the root cause of this problem is.

Thanks
