So Frustrating! Camera on, Wi Fi App says "idle"

Postby zagfreak » Wed Dec 28, 2011 7:18 pm

X2 Pro is up to date. There are about 15 pics I took yesterday. Camera (Nikon D3100) is on, but when I open Wi Fi App on Iphone, it just says "Idle"l at the bottom. Everything to this point has dowloaded, albeit slow since I believe they have to go to the eye-fi servers then back to my Iphone. It just seems like it is something new everytime I take new pics? Nothing has changed in the last half hour in Eye Fi Center also. Same pics have the blue and white squiggly line under them. The one difference is about 4 of the 15 pics show in Eye-Fi Center, but none show up in iphone?

Make sure they are told to send to the iPhone. Inside the app, at the top left corner is a gear Icon. Tap that and select the card you wish to edit settings for. Under Upload, if it says "Off" tap it and turn on "Photos" and feel free to leave RAW off. Select done and future photos will be sent to your phone (and any unsent photos I believe).

The squiggly line is a progress bar. I see that mine have them when they are getting uploaded to my FTP Server (Facebook, flickr, etc). If you don't have that setup it's likely sending to EyeFi's servers for your gallery on their site. I don't think it can be turned off.

How far does a wireless wifi expander make the wifi connection? I'm trying to connect the wifi to my Wii. The Wii is about somewhere between 60 and 80 feet away. Will the expander reach the Wii to give it wifi? How close does it have to be to get wifi with a wireless expander?
