Won't install...

Postby Debi » Sat Dec 24, 2011 10:36 am

I just opened my new pro x2 8gb wifi card and followed the instructions...when it was almost done installing, I got a message saying "!! Install failed!! The following install step failed: run postinstall script for eye-fi center. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." I use an iMac with OSX version 10.5.8

I don't see any other way to contact you...so here I am. I am ready to return this already. I'm used to Apple products that just plug in and work. Very frustrating.

I am also experiencing the same exact problem. I am trying to install the software on a mac running 10.6.8.
The card is new just out of the original packaging. The error message is exactly the same as the above poster.
The card I purchased is the Connect X2 card. What should we do now?

Thank you

Apologies for the inconvenience. Please download the latest version of Eye-Fi Center from the support site and install it

http://support.eye.fi/downloads/center/

Please let us know how this works.

Ok, ...I got it to install, but now it's asking me to login and the create new account button is greyed out! Is it going to be like this every step?? This was an expensive little piece of aggravation....sorry, but really bought this to take photos of my baby niece for Christmas. Looks like I'm out of luck.

Is it still the case that only one photo uploaded?

Where are you uploading photos to?
What's the camera make and model that you are using the Eye-Fi Card with?
Is the Eye-Fi software running on your computer?

Thanks,

I'm shooting with a brand new Canon Powershot G12. I'm uploading photos to my iMac. Yes, the Eye-Fi software is on my computer...the little icon is there at the top of my screen where my wifi signal is. When I take photos, the same icon on the camera blinks and then stops. I assumed that meant it was using wifi to send my photo to my computer. I don't know if it's necessary, but I leave my camera on till the icon stops blinking when taking photos. I shot a bunch of photos last night at a wedding and none of them are on my computer even after I sat my camera right next to it and turned it on and let it sit for a while...am I doing something wrong?

Re: Won't install...Code 43

Postby taresah » Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:50 pm

I just bought a Eye-Fi Connect X2. It won't install. When i check the properties, it says it's throwing a Code 43 error, which i think is driver issue. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
