I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to setup my EyeFi X2 Pro card to use my home's Wifi to sync with my PC using the EyeFi center, but then fallback to direct mode and sync to my iOS device when I'm out.
According to the FAQ (http://support.eye.fi/mobile-applications/direct-mode-faq/
), I should be able to do what I want. However, in practice I"m seeing weird prompts with my EyeFi iOS app and the EyeFi center. They seem to be battling each other and keep asking me to choose between syncing with my iPhone or my PC.
In the EyeFi Center under "Photos", the box is checked for "Upload all photos to E:\eyefi". But when I have this enabled, and turn the sync'ing on in my iOS device, it then asks me whether I want to switch sync'ing to my PC and instead sync with my iPhone.
Instead, I would expect to be able to have both -- wifi first, then if not present (like when I'm out at the park), it would fallback to direct mode with my iPhone.
Am I confused or is this not possible? If so, how do I set it up properly?
