Barry,

Did you login to a different Eye-Fi account from your iPad? Could you please PM me the Wi-Fi MAC address of your iPad (you can find it by launching the "Settings" app, then navigating to "General" -> "About" -> "Wi-Fi Address")?

Thanks,

Barry,

I followed up with you in a PM - it looks like you had the iPad 2 registered to a different Eye-Fi account. I unregistered it for you, so you should be able to proceed.

Ipad apps

That's sound really bad, having problem with your Eyefi is a lot of stuff to do. I have read this article "Get ready for the New Year with these apps" about new apps to your ipad that you will really enjoy, If you like Karaoke/singing but don't want to lug around a dedicated file cabinet sized device? Soulo Karaoke is here. The portability of an iPad or even iPhone makes a lot of sense. Plus if you would like to leverage iTunes for a huge selection of songs, the Soulo Karaoke microphone and the free companion app fit the bill. And Soulo does so with both wired and wireless microphone options. Plus the microphone can be used for other apps and purposes, like dictation apps, so it's a pretty good deal.

The Eye-Fi needs to connect and therefore you need a router in order to tell it there is a network. You need the router if you do not have a wireless network or you are going to be working away from home. With the laptop, you do not need the iPad. Their support is great and it should work fine once everything is setup. You need to create an account with Eye-Fi in order to get the card to work.

EyeFi needs very close proximity to a router/access point to hit higher WiFi rates. When EyeFi host software fails an upload it screws up the image, it keeps retrying and then delete the EyeFi records deep in the bowels of the computer to fix.

ho0la,

It appears that your device is already registered to the same email you're using for the forums here.

samyu,

Your device has been reset. You should now be able to activate it on your Eye-Fi account.

The same problem is happening on my wifes iPad2. She is able to log into MY account from her device but after buying her the EyeFi Pro x2, she is unable to log in under her account as says device is already registered. So this leads me to believe I can not have 2 eyefi cards reg'd to the same iPad2? Her mac address is: E0:B9:BA:60:50:98 and her email is babedee at gmail

Thanks,
Brian

MasterBobi,

The issue is that each mobile device can only be registered to one Eye-Fi account, so when you logged into the iPad you tied it to yours. To allow your wife to log in to her account instead, just open Eye-Fi Center on your computer, log in to your Eye-Fi account (if needed), and deactivate the iPad:
http://support.eye.fi/software/account/ ... te-a-card/

If you share the iPad and want both cards to be able to transfer to it, you might also consider placing both Eye-Fi cards on the same account. You can do this by deactivating one of your Eye-Fi cards in Eye-Fi Center, logging in to the account you will share for both cards, then plugging the card back into the computer.

Okay, so I plug HER EyeFi card into my computer, log into my account and unregister the eyefi card from my account, then log in her account and register it under her account?

To merge the two cards into one account, start when the cards are disconnected from the computer. Log into Eye-Fi Center using the account that has a card you want to deactivate. Right-click the card's name and deactivate it. Log out of Eye-Fi Center, and log into the account where you want to add the card. Connect the card to your PC and we will ask if you want to add the card to your account. For more details: http://support.eye.fi/cards/how/multipl ... e-account/

If you try to sign into the Eye-Fi mobile app (Android or iOS) and receive a message that the device is already registered, all you need to do is open the Eye-Fi Center desktop program, sign in to the account where the device is currently registered, and remove that device from your account.

To anyone receiving the message that your device (iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.) is already registered, that means the same device was previously used to log into a different Eye-Fi account.

If you know which Eye-Fi account was used before, please open the Eye-Fi Center program on your computer. (You can download it from here if needed: http://support.eye.fi/downloads/center/ ) Log in to the Eye-Fi account that was previously used with that device, and then deactivate the device:
http://support.eye.fi/software/account/ ... te-a-card/
Now you can sign in to the Eye-Fi mobile app.

If you don't know which account was used before with that device, please contact us directly at Eye-Fi Customer Care using the link in my signature. We're available by phone, email, or live chat via our web site http://support.eye.fi. Please let us know the wi-fi MAC address of your device. If you have an idea what name or email address the device might have been used with before, please let us know that too.

Thanks!
